The Twillingate Museum and Crafts is housed in the former Anglican Rectory and depicts life in Twillingate at the turn of the century. Nearby stands St. Peter’s Anglican Church, one of the oldest wooden churches in Newfoundland. Inside the Museum, rooms feature a variety of displays to delight young and old, the history buff as well as the casual visitor. Highlights include an exhibit dedicated to local opera singer Georgina Stirling, as well as exhibits focusing on a variety of themes such as Maritime Archaic Indian and Beothuk artifacts, medical equipment, community life and genealogy, children’s toys, and regional cemetery data. Bilingual signage is present throughout the museum.
